#DailyDevotion: The Heart Culture Of God

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;” Romans 12:10

Nowadays, the world has been gripped by technology so much that you find there is no real communication and love between families. Facebook and WhatsApp have become the order of the day in most households, to an extent that even toddlers are wired to know how to use a cellphone. Please understand me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with technology, but how it is used and the extent is what has become an issue. To think that when one’s biological father passes on, that person’s first act is to post it on social media and place “sad-face emojis…” May God bring us back to the heart culture we once knew.

Appreciation and affection towards one another are now being rendered unimportant. It has become a rarity to see a family that actually sits down together at a dinner table with no cellphones lying around, asking each other how their day was. Families and friends barely know each other anymore, because they spend excessive time chatting away on their cellphones behind closed doors living pretend lives online. People miss the voice of God a lot of times, because of the chatter that fills their minds from a world of virtual conversations and following…

It is, therefore, my prayer for you this morning that God gives you the grace to see and to identify the distractions that surround you and stop you from fulfilling your destiny. May you see the importance of family and real friends!

As The Love Revolution Network, we love you with the love of God, but more importantly, God loves you!!!
