Many times, the systems of the world have taught us servanthood over sonship, therefore we find ourselves primarily chasing ownership or desiring to be owners. “If only I can have my own piece of land,” “a house big enough for my small family,” or “just enough of a salary to get by.” These are all things that we are programmed to go after, but not the original intent and purpose of God over our lives. God desires that we have access over ownership. The prodigal son who left his father’s estate forsook access that he might have owned.
And so my prayer for you this morning is that you would come into a place of access and custodianship over the Father’s estate. The Bible tells us in Haggai 2:8, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.” May you come into the knowledge of your inheritance through access in Jesus’ Name.
