The above-prophecy, written to the Jews, bears great similarity with the days we live in today. In the age of crashing economies and widespread poverty, our biggest problem still remains that there is a gross spiritual famine throughout the earth.
We have so many churches across the globe, but so little nourishment of the believers.
Beloved, let us return to our first love, Christ: who is inseparable from his Word, for he is the Word that became flesh. The moral fibre and integrity of our people is certain to change if the Word be in them. Believers are moving from place to place, not limited to churches alone, but to any place that poses to have some spiritual solution to their many problems. This is all because they do not know what they carry…
There is a direct relationship between word-deficiency and the sin-issues in the body of Christ. The Word of God carries the ability to make us wise unto godliness. With the Word in our hearts, man cannot sin.
2 Timothy 3:15 reads, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
It is, therefore, my prayer this today, that you would experience an overflow of the water of the Spirit, and the bread of the Word, to become nourishment to those around you in these times of The Great Famine!
