Beloved, this morning I would have you know that there is surely a price to pay for your goals and aspirations.

At times we focus too much on the end result and visualising what it would be like to “own this” and “have that.” However, every destination has a journey. I have always maintained that it is the highest level of ignorance to believe that jewellery comes from a jewellery shop, it comes from the dirt!

Humans have an inherent nature of wanting things to go their way all the time, but past patterns force us to admit that life doesn’t work like that. Hard times come. Relationships are damaged. Financial worries plague us. There are even times of war. Yes, the clouds and the storms really do come. Jesus said, “In this world, you will have trouble.”

But the good news is, He didn’t stop there. He also said, “Take heart. I have overcome the world.”

Now I don’t know what your present circumstance is, but the Lord told me to tell you, that you have overcome by the blood of the lamb and the words of your testimony! The above-verse declares that you shall receive the crown of life. There was a crown awaiting David, but he had to go through Goliath. Joseph had a crown that awaited him but he had to go through the pit and prison.

There is a clear pattern here and if you catch it, your mourning will turn into dancing! When you think of David, you think of Goliath; Joseph, you think of the pit and prison; Jesus, you immediately see a cross. Goliath made David famous, inasmuch as the same death that was supposed to be the end of Jesus, authenticated the very thing he was crucified for, that indeed he was God!

It is, therefore, my prayer for you today that your victory would be certain against all odds! Somebody declares, “Thank God for Goliath!”
