#DailyDevotion : Identity Crisis

I remember some time back, something was stirred up in my spirit as I read the portion of scripture from Psalms 82, verses 5 to 7;

“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”

Dearly Beloved, I have come to realize that one of the greatest problems we have in the body of Christ is that of Identity Crisis.

From the beginning, the Bible tells us that we are made in the image of God. Psalms 82:7 tells us, “ye are gods.”

Again in John 10:34, Jesus’ reiterates, “ye are gods,” yet there is an un-comfortability among the believers of the church of today whenever a man begins to walk in the revelation of their identity.

This morning, I have come to awaken you to the God-like nature within you, that you would begin to operate in the dimension of a god in this present life.

Many times we comfort ourselves in our “inabilities,” and say, “well I’m just a man:” But the Bible tells us, not so, ye are gods! You are more than a mere man. And so my prayer for you today is that the Spirit would open up your eyes to see who you are in Christ. And all the saints said Amen…
