Many people remain in unhealthy relationships for a very long time, and endure with belief that things will get better. Nevertheless, in most cases in never does. So when is it time for one to quit a relationship? Here a signs that a relationship is bad for you and you should let go.
If you feel there is no longer love, affection and care in your relationship, then it is time you call it quits. A relationship without love and appreciation is not a relationship to be in. It goes against everything a relationship should stand for.
1 Corinthians 13:13 quotes, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
When you begin to lose yourself in your relationship and lose value of who you really are, then you should quit the relationship. Your relationship should make you a better person, not make you lose value of who you are.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
A relationship without a future is also not ideal for you. If you want a long-term relationship that has the future in view, it should be with a partner that wants same too.
A toxic relationship is not ideal you should call it quits. A relationship where there is no respect, where there is abuse and no appreciation is not healthy. No doubt, you should quit such a relationship. When you are your partner no longer share the same values, the relationship could also become toxic.
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 says, ” Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
When a relationship gets to this point, then I believe it is time to call it quits.
