Colossians 1:27 reads, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
James writes in James 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…” For this reason a lot of us devote most of our Christian journey trying to draw nearer to God, and when we sin, it takes us “years” to begin to feel him near us again. One thing worth mentioning is that this is written to the babes in Christ. The same writer, writes in James 5:14, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:” This revelation stands to affirm that James was saying there is a level one reaches as an elder of the church in which they can no longer be sick.
As the spiritually mature, we are to have a consciousness that Christ cannot get any closer to us than he already is. Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:27 declares, “…Christ in you, the hope of glory:” He is no longer an external deity that you call upon in times of trouble. He came to stay in you the moment you accepted him into your heart. And so I awaken you to that consciousnes this morning, He is and forever will be…Christ in you!!!
