The Bible declares in Proverbs 15:29,
“The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”
From the beginning of time we have observed how that sin had the ability to separate man from his creator. It took the sacrifice of the lamb that was slain, Christ Jesus by name, to reconcile us to the Father. Grace entails that righteousness is imparted to us by the finished work of Christ, but it is a deliberate action to continue walking in it. Matthew 24:13 reads,
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
Many times when a believer has read all the prayer strategy and warfare books and still sees limited results from their prayers, they need only to check the way they are living, whether it is upright before God. There is nothing more dangerous and potent than the prayer of a righteous man. James 5:16 puts it this way,
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Beloved, do not be decieved, it is not a lack of revelation of grace to seek holiness but the true mark of Christ in the life of a man.
My prayer for you this morning is that your prayer will be the priority of heaven, by reason of the righteousness of Christ in you. May heaven hear the thunderous sound of your silent prayer and may it be a sweet aroma unto the heavens, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
