A Prayer Of Redemption & Putting On The Armor of God

Acknowledge God

Father I acknowledge that everyday battle in my life is not mine, but belongs to you. For I know that my real struggle is not against what I can see with my eyes but what is unseen. The powers of the dark world, the devil who wants to steal, kill and destroy you work in my life. (2 Chronicles 20:15, John 10:10)

Ask for forgiveness

Father forgive me, I have not been true to your word.  I allowed myself to be distracted by the world and tempted by the enemy when in fact I should focus on the Word. But your word cautions me to stand firm in faith. Lord, teach me to stand firm and redeem me from my principalities. (1 Peter 5:8-9, Roman 10:10)

Put on His Armor

Today as You have instructed me, i choose to put on Your full armor. Undoubtedly, I choose to put on Jesus for everything is possible through him. With him I will stand firm against the devil’s schemes and plans. I might be strong in You and Your mighty power. ( Ephesians 6:10-13), Colossians 1:24)

Not only do I turn from all false but also, ungodly things. Likewise, from today I turn from all sin that entangles me back and put on your Holiness. Let the gospel of peace fit my feet, Lord Jesus you my strength and my peace. Clothe me Christ to be diligent and watchful. Even more, I proclaim that You are the Way and Truth and you will accomplish all that You intend.

In all the things, I choose to be joyful in Hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12). I ask all things in the name of Jesus, who gave Himself for me that I might truly live. May Your power that is at work in me all day be mighty.
